Under $100 is not the budget end — it is the category
It is worth saying plainly: almost every mechanical bidet attachment sold in America lives under a hundred dollars. This is not a compromise bracket, it is where the sensible products are.
The money above this line buys electricity: a heated seat, a warm-air dryer, an instant water heater. Those are real features, they need an outlet, and they are covered on the bidet seat page. What they are not is a better wash. The spray from a good mechanical attachment and the spray from an expensive electric seat are much closer than the price difference suggests.
What actually varies down here
Nozzle count. One nozzle does a rear wash. Two add a separate front wash. This is the clearest feature difference in the bracket and it is worth deciding on before you compare anything else.
Nozzle adjustability. Rarer, and underrated. TUSHY’s published “precision nozzle adjuster” lets you change the angle after fitting; most products at this price are fixed, and you find out whether the fixed angle suits you after it is installed.
Plate thickness. Published, and hugely variable: 0.2 inches for Brondell’s Thinline, 3.4 inches for the SlimEdge. That is how much taller your toilet gets.
Fitting materials. The T-valve and hose. Brondell is the only maker in this bracket that publishes theirs as all-metal, and it is the difference we would pay for.
What does not vary, and should not worry you
Every attachment on this page runs on water pressure alone, so none of them can fail electrically, overheat, or need an outlet. Every one publishes a retracting nozzle behind a guard with a self-cleaning cycle. Every one fits under your existing seat and comes out the same way.
In other words, the safety-critical and reversibility-critical parts of this category are settled across the price range. What you are choosing between is comfort and documentation.
The honest test for a cheap bidet
Here is the heuristic we would use if we were spending our own money in this bracket, and it is the one that produced the ranking above: how much is the manufacturer willing to put in writing?
A company that publishes an install time, a fit percentage, the contents of the box, the materials of the fittings and the exceptions where it does not fit is telling you it has tested those things and will stand behind them. A company that publishes a photo, a nozzle count and a warranty length is telling you considerably less — at a similar price.
That is not a proxy for quality. It is a proxy for accountability, and at the cheap end of a category with hundreds of near-identical listings, accountability is the only signal available to anyone who has not taken them all apart.

An all-metal T-valve and braided metal hose at a price where most competitors use plastic and do not mention it.
The T-valve is the only part of a bidet install that stays under mains pressure permanently, and it is exactly where a budget product saves money. Brondell publishes “braided metal hose and all-metal T-Valve” on a product in this bracket, and most of its competitors publish nothing about their fittings at all.
You also get the slimmest plate here at “0.2 inches”, a retractable angled nozzle with a hygienic guard, on-demand self-cleaning, and a one-year warranty with US-based support.

Dual nozzles and a 3.4-inch profile — sixteen times thicker than the Thinline, and with no published water temperature at all.
In a bracket where the competition publishes install times, fit percentages, box contents and fitting materials, Bio Bidet publishes dimensions, a nozzle count, a fit claim, that no electricity is needed, and a one-year warranty. That is it.
The dimensions it does publish are not flattering either. At “H 3.4in” this is by far the thickest plate here, against Brondell’s published 0.2 inches — and the seat above it rises by the whole difference.
The category’s most basic question, whether the wash is warm or cold, is not answered on the product page. We will happily revisit this if that changes.
