The best bidets with a warm air dryer
The feature that turns a bidet into a paperless toilet, and the one people most often misjudge before buying.

The short answer
We earn a commission if you buy through the links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It does not change which products we pick or what we say about them — here is exactly how that works.
Quick picks
Tap any row for the full write-up. Prices are checked against Amazon rather than remembered — where we have no verified figure the button says so.
What a warm air dryer actually does
A heating element and a small fan mounted at the back of the seat, blowing warm air forward after the wash. You stay seated and press a button.
That is the whole mechanism, and it is why the specification that matters is the air — how warm, how fast, and whether you can change either.
The honest limitation
A dryer takes minutes, not seconds. Not one manufacturer on this site publishes a drying time, which is itself informative, and the common owner experience is that it is slower than expected.
The physics is unforgiving: you are evaporating water with moving air at a temperature that has to stay comfortable against skin. There is no way to make that fast.
So the realistic framing is not “this replaces toilet paper entirely”. For most people it reduces paper use substantially and finishes the job, and that is a good outcome — just not the one the marketing implies.
Where it genuinely is transformative is mobility. For someone who finds reaching and twisting difficult or painful, a dryer removes the hardest part of using a toilet independently. That is the case where the minutes do not matter at all. The mobility-focused picks are here.
The two specifications nobody publishes
Wattage. Not one bidet seat researched for this site publishes one. That is unusual for a plug-in appliance with two heating elements, and it means we cannot do the running-cost arithmetic we do for towel warmers, where WarmlyYours publishes 90 W and Zadro publishes 480 W. We will not estimate it.
Maximum user weight. Also absent across every maker. A plain plastic seat routinely publishes one; a seat costing several times as much does not. If it matters to you, ask the manufacturer in writing before buying.
The outlet decides whether you can have this at all
Every dryer needs mains power, and the published cords are short: Brondell publishes 3.9 ft on the Thinline T22, 4 ft on the SE400, and no figure at all for the SE600.
Four feet is not much. Measure from the outlet to the back of the toilet before ordering, and do not bridge a shortfall with an extension lead — a bathroom outlet should be GFCI protected and a domestic lead across a wet floor defeats that.
If there is no outlet, this whole category is closed to you until an electrician opens it. That is a landlord conversation in a rental, and the non-electric alternatives are set out here.
Which features actually travel together
Worth knowing, because you rarely buy a dryer on its own. A seat with a dryer will also have a heated seat and heated water, because once there is mains power and a control board the marginal cost of the other elements is small.
The practical consequence is that the dryer is often not the reason people end up happy with the purchase. In a cold bathroom the heated seat is the feature owners say they would miss most, and the dryer is a bonus. The heated seat picks are here.
All four products rate Safe on our install rating — they use the existing bolt holes, need no drilling and no plumber, and come off in ten minutes.
Every pick in full
3 we would buy, and one we would not. Each carries its Renter-Safe Install Rating, the published specs behind it, and the honest gap in what we know.

1. Best overall
Brondell Swash Thinline T22 Bidet Toilet Seat
Brondell · Swash Thinline T22 · best for the most adjustable dryer, in the thinnest seat
A published 5-level warm air dryer with temperature control, plus endless warm water from an instant heater.
The Swash Thinline T22 publishes the most capable dryer here: a “5-level warm air dryer with temperature control”.
Both halves of that matter. Five levels lets you trade speed against comfort, and separate temperature control is what stops the air being either tepid and useless or uncomfortably hot.
It pairs with an “instant ceramic water heater” giving “endless warm water” rather than a tank that runs out, and a three-level heated seat — which matters more than it sounds, because being washed and then dried is a lot more pleasant when you are not sitting on cold plastic.
At a published 3.9″(H) it is also the thinnest full-feature seat here, and it carries the longest warranty on this site at “3-year limited”.

- Standard outlet — Brondell publishes a 3.9 ft cord
- Reversible on move-out

Why: Reversible in the sense that matters — it bolts on where the old seat was and comes off the same way. The published 3.9-foot cord is the shortest on this site, so the outlet has to be genuinely close to the toilet.

What’s wrong with it
The published cord is 3.9 ft, the shortest of any seat we cover.
What we can’t tell you
Brondell publishes no wattage, no drying time and no air temperature range.

2. Best controls
Brondell Swash SE400 Bidet Toilet Seat
Brondell · Swash SE400 · best for one-touch operation without reaching behind you
An adjustable warm air dryer with temperature controls, on a side-arm panel with a published one-touch auto mode.
The Swash SE400 publishes an “adjustable warm air dryer” with temperature controls, and pairs it with the control layout that makes a dryer usable.
Brondell publishes an “intuitive side-arm control panel” with “one-touch auto mode” — wash then dry, in sequence, from one button. If the dryer is the reason you are buying, not having to operate two controls mid-cycle is the difference between using the feature and ignoring it.
It also publishes a “built-in deodorizer”, a “rust-resistant stainless steel nozzle”, and “120V / 60Hz” with a 4-foot power cord — the longest published cord here, which is a real practical advantage.

- Standard outlet — Brondell publishes a 4-foot cord

Why: The seat swaps onto the existing bolt holes, so it is fully reversible. The constraint is the published 4-foot cord: measure from the toilet to the nearest outlet before you buy, and never bridge the gap with an extension cord in a bathroom.

3. Most features
Brondell Swash SE600 Bidet Toilet Seat
Brondell · Swash SE600 · best for a heated seat, dryer and nightlight together
A published heated seat and adjustable warm air dryer, with tank-heated warm water.
The Swash SE600 publishes a “heated seat and adjustable warm air dryer” alongside a “tank heating system” for the wash.
The tank is the honest trade against the Thinline. A reservoir holds a set amount of warmed water and then runs cool; an instant heater does not. For a single normal use the tank is ample, and for a long wash it is not.
It also publishes a self-cleaning stainless nozzle cycle that “runs before and after” each use, which is the sanitation feature worth having on any seat you share.

- Standard outlet — the wattage and any GFCI requirement are not published
- Reversible on move-out

Why: The seat itself swaps onto the existing bolt holes, so it is reversible. The catch is the plug: it needs a working outlet within cord reach of the toilet, and a lot of older bathrooms simply do not have one. That is a conversation with a landlord, not a drill.

What’s wrong with it
Brondell publishes no cord length at all for this model, so you cannot confirm it reaches your outlet before buying.
What we can’t tell you
Wattage, outlet requirement and cord length are all unpublished.

The one to skip
Brondell Swash EcoSeat S102 Non-Electric Bidet Seat
Brondell · EcoSeat S102 · best for bathrooms with no outlet — which is a lot of them
No dryer, no electricity, and for many people still the better purchase than a dryer they will not use.
The skip here is deliberately a seat with no dryer at all, because for a large number of people reading this page that is the honest recommendation.
The EcoSeat S102 publishes a “warm and cool water wash” taken from the basin’s hot supply and is “powered by water pressure alone, no electricity required”. It has no dryer, no heated seat and no electronics.
Two reasons to consider it instead. First, every dryer on this page needs an outlet within about four feet of the toilet, and a great many older bathrooms have none. Second, the dryer is the most commonly abandoned feature on an electric seat — it takes minutes rather than seconds, and most people reach for a towel before it finishes.
If you specifically need the dryer for mobility reasons, buy one of the three above. If you liked the sound of it, be honest about whether you will wait for it. The non-electric warm-water route is here.

Why: It replaces the toilet seat on the existing bolt holes, which is fully reversible — but Brondell’s warm wash is fed from the basin’s hot supply, so there is a second connection under the sink. Reversible, still worth mentioning.

What’s wrong with it

Questions people actually ask
do bidet dryers actually work
They work, but they take minutes rather than seconds — and no manufacturer we cover publishes a drying time, which tells you something. For most people it reduces paper use rather than eliminating it; for someone with limited mobility it is genuinely transformative.
do bidet seats with dryers need electricity
All of them. A dryer is a heating element and a fan, so it needs mains power. Published cords are short — 3.9 ft on the Thinline T22 and 4 ft on the SE400 — so measure to the outlet, and never use an extension lead in a bathroom.
how much electricity does a bidet dryer use
Not one manufacturer on this site publishes a wattage, which is unusual for a plug-in appliance with heating elements. We will not estimate it — ask the maker directly if running cost matters to you.
is a warm air dryer worth it on a bidet seat
It depends why you want it. If reaching and twisting is difficult, it is the single most valuable feature on the seat. If you just liked the sound of it, be honest about whether you will sit and wait several minutes rather than reaching for a towel.
