Moen vs Delta bathroom faucets
Both make good faucets and both back them for life. The difference is in what they tell you before you buy.
By Sawyer V. · · How we research

The short answer
We earn a commission if you buy through the links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It does not change which products we pick or what we say about them — here is exactly how that works.
Quick picks
Tap any row for the full write-up. Prices are checked against Amazon rather than remembered — where we have no verified figure the button says so.
What each brand tells you
Read the product pages side by side and a pattern appears. Delta leads with performance numbers: flow rate at a stated pressure, and the number of uses its valve was tested for. Moen leads with compliance and geometry: WaterSense criteria, ADA, spout reach and the type of drain.
Neither is hiding anything obvious. But if you want to know how much water a faucet uses, only Delta tells you on the pages we read.
Flow rate
Delta publishes 1.2 gpm at 60 psi for both the Trinsic and the Nicoli. Moen says its faucets meet EPA WaterSense criteria, which caps flow, but it does not give the number on these product pages. Kohler, for what it is worth, publishes 1.2 gpm on its Devonshire widespread.
Valve testing
Delta publishes a test figure: 500,000 uses for the Trinsic’s Diamond valve and the Nicoli’s cartridge. Moen publishes no cycle figure on the pages we read. A published test is not a guarantee of your faucet’s life, but it is a number you can compare, and that is more than nothing.
Drains
Both brands vary by model. Delta’s Trinsic has a metal drain and the Nicoli a push pop-up that unscrews from above. Moen’s Genta LX has a metal pop-up; the Genta and Darcy use plastic, and the Findlay a push-down drain. Check the drain on the specific model, not the brand.
Warranty and stock
Both publish a lifetime limited warranty on these faucets. Both had several of these models out of stock or sold out on their own stores when we checked, which says little about retailers but is worth knowing before you plan an install day.
Which to choose
Delta if published flow and valve figures matter to you, or you want the widest finish range. Moen if you want a specific look or the longest reach, and are comfortable with WaterSense compliance in place of a number. The same two brands compared on shower heads.
