simplehuman vs Zadro lighted mirrors
The two biggest names in lighted mirrors describe their light in completely different terms, which is either an oversight or a strategy.

The short answer

They are not describing the same thing
This is the most useful thing to understand about the two brands, and nobody else points it out.
simplehuman publishes CRI and lux. CRI is color accuracy, out of 100. Lux is the light arriving at your face.
Zadro publishes lumens and color temperature. Lumens is total light leaving the source. Color temperature is how warm or cool it looks, in kelvin.
None of those four overlap. You cannot convert lumens at a ring light into lux at your face without knowing the distance and beam, and color temperature says nothing about color accuracy. So a direct comparison of the light is not possible from what the makers publish.
What you can compare
Warranty. simplehuman publishes five years; Zadro publishes one year on both models here. This is the clearest difference, and it reflects how long each maker expects the product to last.
Power. simplehuman’s countertop mirrors are rechargeable (five weeks per charge on the Round). Zadro’s cordless model takes four AA batteries, not included. Over years of use, rechargeable is cheaper and less wasteful.
Magnification. Zadro pairs 10x with 1x on both models here. simplehuman offers 5x on the Round and 1x, 5x and 10x on the Trio models. Which you need is covered here.
Color temperature. Zadro publishes 6,400 K on the cordless mirror — cool white, closer to daylight — and adjustable settings on the Lexington. simplehuman instead publishes sunlight and candlelight preview modes without stating kelvin.
So which should you buy
For makeup, simplehuman. CRI is the specification that decides whether makeup matches in daylight, and simplehuman is the one that publishes it — at 95. Our makeup mirror picks are here.
For shaving, brows and detail on a budget, Zadro. 10x with 1x on the reverse and a cool, even ring light is a sensible tool for close work where color accuracy matters less.
For the wall, Zadro’s Lexington, because it publishes a plug-in option. simplehuman’s wall model is hardwired only.
Renter status
The countertop models from both brands rate Safe on our install rating — they sit on the counter and run on batteries or a charger.
Both wall models need fixing to the wall, and simplehuman’s needs an electrician as well. The Zadro Lexington’s plug-in option removes the wiring but not the holes, so in a rental it is still a permission question.
Every pick in full
3 we would buy. Each carries its Renter-Safe Install Rating, the published specs behind it, and the honest gap in what we know.

1. Best for color accuracy
simplehuman Sensor Mirror Round, 8 inch
simplehuman · Sensor Mirror Round · best for makeup, where shade matching matters
95 CRI, 100 to 800 lux, a rechargeable battery that lasts five weeks, and a five-year warranty.
The simplehuman Sensor Mirror Round represents what simplehuman publishes across its range.
It states “95 CRI” and “100-800 Lux”, dual light settings for sunlight and candlelight, 5x magnification on an 8 in. mirror, and a “Built-In Lithium Ion Battery” where “1 Charge Lasts 5 Weeks”.
The warranty is “5 Year”. Against Zadro’s published one year, that is the single biggest practical difference between the brands.

2. Best for detail
Zadro Cordless LED Makeup Mirror (LEDMV410)
Zadro · LEDMV410 · best for brows and close work, on batteries
10x and 1x on a swiveling head, a 6,400 K ring light rated 200+ lumens, on four AA batteries.
The Zadro cordless LED mirror publishes a different kind of specification.
Zadro states “10-times and 1-times double magnification”, a “Cool white color temperature LED Chip On-board (COB) type ring light” at 6,400 K and 200+ lumens, and a “360-degree swiveling” head. It runs on four AA batteries, not included.
10x and 1x is a useful pairing — true-size on one side, detail on the other — and a ring light gives even, shadow-free light around the face.

Zadro · SLWRLT410H · best for clearing the counter, with a plug-in option
10x and 1x on a 20 in. arm, three light color settings, and plug-in or hard-wire-ready power.
If you want a wall mirror, the Zadro Lexington is the more flexible choice than simplehuman’s wall model.

It publishes 10x and 1x, LED at 4,600 to 6,500 K with “three versatile LED light color settings”, an “Infinity dimmer touch pad”, and “A long 20″ extended arm” with 360-degree rotation.
